Questions

Before
you book.

What people often ask us. For anything else, write to us.

How far in advance should I book?

As early as possible for a Saturday between May and September: those dates go first. For a restaurant or a weekday event, we can often organise things faster. Send your date and we'll tell you if it's free.

Where do you travel?

Anywhere in Île-de-France, and further on request: the team has already worked on concerts in Germany.

Do you speak Romanian?

Yes. We work in French, Romanian and English: conversations before the event, mic announcements, playlists.

How much does it cost?

Each quote depends on the date, the venue, the duration and what you want (DJ only, sound and lighting, musicians). Give us these details and we'll reply with a detailed quote.

Who handles the setup?

We do. The team arrives several hours before the guests, sets up, runs the soundcheck, then packs down at the end of the night.

Can we choose the music?

Yes. We build the playlist with you: the must-plays, the do-not-plays, the first dance, the last song. On the day, the DJ adapts to the dance floor.

Do you have special effects?

Yes: low fog, cold sparks, bubbles and confetti. They are booked as options, subject to approval from the venue.

Who is JOHN.V SONO EVENT?

JOHN.V SONO EVENT is a sound, lighting, DJ and live music company based in Sceaux, in the Hauts-de-Seine, with more than 300 events delivered. The team sets up the sound and lighting, plays and packs down, for weddings, 18th birthdays, family parties, restaurants, boats on the Seine, galas and concerts, anywhere in Île-de-France.

What sound equipment do you use?

d&b audiotechnik sound: Y8 and T10 line arrays, Y10P and V10P speakers, B6-SUB and V-GSUB subwoofers, D20, D40 and D80 amplifiers. At the desk: DiGiCo, Allen & Heath and Midas consoles, Shure and Sennheiser mics, Pioneer DJ CDJ-3000 players. The full list is on the Rental page.

Do you offer a photo booth, a 360 platform or an LED screen?

Yes, all three. The photo booth, the 360° video platform and the LED screen can be added as options to every package, like cold sparks, low fog and confetti.

Does it work in a small venue too?

Yes. We choose the gear for the venue: a compact system for a restaurant, a bigger PA for a large hall or outdoors.

Got a date
in mind? We'll tell you if it's free.
